Kaiser Permanente is the only HMO
Non-Profit (Health Maintenance Organization) plan available to individuals
in the state of Georgia. In the past HMO's were given a bad reputation (true or
not ?) of withholding medical care for profit reasons. Well, that is not an
issue with Kaiser since they are a Not for Profit organization. Plus Kaiser is
way ahead of all of the other carriers with their medical records system called
My Health Manager. It is setting the industry standard for connectivity and
convenience-and has been featured in news stories by the Wall Street Journal,
MSNBC, and ABC News. Other providers may say they offer a personal health
record, but they can't connect it in real time with a member's electronic
medical record or same-day pharmacy records and lab test results. My Health
