Individual Health Insurance
Individual health insurance refers to health insurance bought by an individual for
themselves or their family. Although
it is not a very exciting purchase, it can save you from devastating financial ruin. Most bankruptcies in the United States
are the result of a major medical problem someone encountered without being covered
under a health insurance policy.
The good news is that it is now easier than ever to purchase individual health insurance.
The Web has made this process much faster
and easier than ever before.
Georgia Health Insurance uses the Internet for
the benefit of our prospective clients, while maintaining a balance in keeping the
personal touch in our service:
-
We speak directly to our clients and are available through email, local and toll-free
long distance phone service or in person when applicable.
-
We search out the best plan for your personal needs based on your sex, age, level
of coverage desired, health conditions, etc…
-
We do not up-sell but suggest the lowest cost, quality plan available that matches
your needs and budget.
-
Offer you excellent customer service during and after the sell.
If your renewal is too high, we will find you a better priced plan
There are several questions to consider when
purchasing an individual plan:
-
How restrictive of a network of doctors am I willing to go with?
-
Do I need nationwide coverage?
How
often do I visit the doctor in a given year?
-
Am I willing to go with a higher deductible plan in order to lower my cost?
-
What kind of prescription benefit am I looking for?
-
Do I need maternity coverage?
Short Term Health Insurance
We offer a short-term medical plan that is designed for individuals who find themselves
between jobs, waiting for approval of their previously submitted permanent health
insurance application or waiting for their employer-sponsored coverage to go into
effect. Another appropriate use of short-term health insurance is if you are a temporary,
part-time or seasonal employee without medical insurance (although in this situation
you are often better served by a permanent plan which you only pay for 30 days at
a time also). Coverage for this type of insurance can be purchased 30 days at a
time, up to 180 days. Blue Cross offers three deductible options, along with an
80 percent coinsurance rate. This makes Short Term Medical an affordable and valuable
health care choice. These short-term plans can go into effect in as little
as 48 hours.
